Dogs CANNOT be at daycare for AT LEAST fourteen (14) days prior to coming to Ace Dog Training for boarding or kennel stays. This is strictly enforced. Thank you for your cooperation with this policy.

Debra Nagler specializes in teaching obedient behavior, as well as training obedience commands, Debra is able to successfully change undesired behaviors and attitudes in dogs, even the most profoundly disturbed, often where others have failed.

 Debra has trained and consulted for various rescue organizations, such as Safe Harbor, Weimaraner, Doberman, Labrador, Rottweiler rescues, and Big Dog Ranch Rescue. 

She is widely recognized as one of the most successful behavior specialists by many veterinarians, and other dog professionals, who also highly recommend her.

Obedience Training Options:

• Evaluation - approximately 1/2 hour

  • Testing is done by our behavior specialist to determine the best course of action for you and your dog.

• One-time foundation/behavior consult, expect 1.5 to 2 hours - This is also, the first lesson in any package.

  • Time is spent teaching you the principles of behavior and how to apply them to your specific dog and issues. You will also learn how to become an effective leader and communicator.

  • We will fit your dog with appropriate training tools and teach you how to use them.

  • The words / commands we teach during this lesson, depends on the dogs’ age and existing knowledge.

  Packages can be spread over time to help you mature with your dog/puppy. Lessons do not have to be scheduled in sequential weeks. You can choose from one of the following options or choose to pay one lesson at a time.

  PACKAGES:

• Four lesson package-includes foundation session.

  • The remaining three lessons build on the initial ‘foundation’ session.

  • You and your trainer will add commands, address problem solving and experiences for you both.

• Six lesson package- includes foundation session, with five additional lessons.

• Nine lesson package, which includes foundation session, with eight additional lessons.

  CLASSES:

• Impulse control class - (limited enrollment) This class teaches the dog to stay engaged with the handler in the midst of other dogs and distractions. This is ONLY for intermediate to advanced students.

  • Prerequisite: evaluation or personal invite (4 week class - 6 dogs max per class)

BASIC INBOARD TRAINING PROGRAM:

The ‘Basic Inboard Training Program’ is a one week board/train program that includes demonstration and brief instruction. It is designed for owners who don’t have a lot of time to train their dogs, or for dogs that have problems. The benefit is that dogs gain repetition of successful responses, learn how to behave in a range of environments and under distraction. They learn obedient behavior and self control. They learn HOW to self calm. They have a firm grasp of what all the commands are and how to do them.

• FULL COURSE - Basic In-board / In-Kennel Training (4 week program) - Includes lessons before dog leaves & after they go home, for smooth transition.

  • Additional Week Training Available

  • One Day of Board/Training - for those dogs and owners with some training under their belts

  • One Week of Board/Training - includes demonstration and basic instruction - Lessons not included

AFTER SUCCESSFUL TRAINING, YOUR DOG WILL EXECUTE:

·       “Here” (walking right next to handler with an automatic sit)

·       “Sit and down” on command                

·        “Stay” in each position              

·       “Come” when called to sit front   

·       Good manners in general; greetings, play, gates, doors, etc…
